It’s the most fun you’ll have playing with scarves as an adult! And you’ll learn about yourself on a deeper level! Color analysis involves draping someone with various colors that have differing undertones, values, and intensity. We start by figuring out your undertone, then your home season, then your flow season, and your final palette. Excuse the lingo, what really matters is that the color analysis is all about analyzing your skin, complexion, and more to find which colors really make you shine. After your analysis, you will know which colors make you glow — helping you gain confidence and take the guesswork out of shopping.

Please do not wear any makeup. If you have any permanent makeup, including micro-bladed eyebrows or false eyelashes, please indicate this on your pre-appointment survey.
If you wear glasses but are able to wear contacts, please do so. We’ll need to remove your glasses periodically. Please do not wear colored contacts to your appointment.
If you have facial piercings and are able to remove them, please do so before your appointment. Are your ears part of your face? Yes! Please remove earrings too.

If you have an appointment scheduled and get a bad sunburn or rash beforehand, it’s best to reschedule!
If you are taking medication that changes your surface coloring, please reach out via email and let’s chat prior to your appointment.
If you have acne or rosacea, we can still do your analysis!
If you get a natural tan, that is also ok, but it’s best to wait at least a week after a fresh tan before getting your analysis. If you have a spray tan, we will need to move your appointment until it has faded.
If you know you’re going on a tropical vacation or getting a spray tan, it’s best to book your analysis further out!

AI is an unreliable source for a lot of things, but it’s especially bad at delivering accurate color analysis results. That’s because it generally looks at surface coloring and does not factor in undertone. It also tends to give out trending palettes, which is why it types so many people as a “soft summer.”

Different systems have different color analysis checks, different color palettes, and various amounts of training. If you were analyzed by someone with training outside of the International Image Institute, your palette might be different. If you don’t feel like your current results are harmonizing, I recommend booking another analysis in a different color analysis system. However, if you feel good in your original palette, it’s best not to seek out additional color analyses. It can be really confusing.
